By accessing this website and signing up for any of its services, you are deemed to accept these terms and conditions and any additional terms and conditions which expressly apply to the services that you sign up for.
The information and services available on this site are provided for the purpose of developing the social enterprise sector in Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly. The website is intended to provide information about social enterprises to a range of stakeholders, in order to raise their profile and help strengthen the sector. It is also intended to act as a gateway for information about social enterprise and how you go about setting one up and developing it.
You may use, print and download information from this site for these purposes only and not for any other purpose. You may not otherwise copy, display, transmit or distribute any material from this site.
Information submitted and uploaded to this website is accepted in good faith that it is accurate, honest and reliable. Prospective members using this site are responsible for checking the suitability of their information and for undertaking appropriate screening.The Engine Room accepts no liability for any loss, or damage which may arise from information published on the Engine Room site. We reserve the right to alter information contained within advertisements as necessary to meet the aims of our services and may refuse or remove an advert/update or member profile we deem inappropriate without explanation.
We make no warranty at all regarding Member-contributed content. We are not responsible for any failure arising because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Account & Password
Account details and passwords are for the sole use of the person to whom they are issued. If The Engine Room believes that an account or password is being used by an unauthorised person or that the user is breaching these terms and conditions, then the account will be suspended. Account passwords must be changed after a member is initially allocated with a password and members are responsible for creating passwords that follow standard guidelines for internet security. E.g. Use a long password made up of numbers, letters and symbols
We do not guarantee that this site will be available at any particular time. Its functions will work in a timely fashion or any other particular way or at all or that it will be free of errors. Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003
The Engine Room does not operate as an employment agency or recruitment agency.
Employment agencies and employment businesses (as defined by the Employment Agencies Act 1973), must ensure that when they register with the Engine Room, they declare the nature of their business in the appropriate tick box. Any job adverts that are posted on The Engine Room must comply with the Act and Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2004.
Any employment agency suspected of misusing the site will be removed without notice or explanation.
All copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the site and the material available on the site belong to The Engine Room. Use of the site does not give anyone any proprietary rights to any such materials.
